TRAVEL INFORMATION TO PRINCETON

Princeton University is located in central New Jersey approximately 50 miles southwest of New York City and 45 miles northeast of Philadelphia. The main campus intersection is Washington Road and Nassau Street. To reach Princeton, we recommend one of the following routes:

BY PLANE:

From Newark Airport

The Olympic Airporter shuttle has an information counter at the baggage claim area in each terminal at Newark Airport. Reservations can be made at the desk when you arrive at the airport for your trip to Princeton. However, advance reservations are recommended. The Airporter also provides return service from Princeton to Newark. Reservations must be made in advance. The one-way trip from Newark to Princeton costs approximately $38 per person and takes approximately 90 minutes. Please contact the Princeton Airporter for specifics and make reservations online at http://olympic-limo.com/shuttle-princeton-fares-info-timetable.html.

From the Philadelphia Airport

Take the SEPTA (Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority) airport shuttle train to 30TH STREET STATION. The shuttle stops on the lower level of every terminal and costs approximately $6. The shuttle train schedule is available at  http://www.septa.org/schedules/rail/pdf/air.pdf. See directions for train travel for further directions.

PLEASE NOTE: We do not recommend flying into JFK or LaGuardia airports in New York. It is expensive and time consuming to travel through Manhattan to the train or bus station where transportation to Princeton is available.

BY TRAIN:

PLEASE NOTE: The Dinky shuttle train does not run as frequently on weekends, so check a train schedule to make sure that there is a connection when you arrive at Princeton Junction. Schedules are available at www.njtransit.com. Taxis meet most rush hour trains but cannot be depended upon to meet off-peak and weekend trains.
